Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups raisins
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup sour cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet and set aside. In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. In a small bowl, blend together the remaining three ingredients. Add to the flour mixture until moistened and knead the dough 12-15 times. Shape dough into a round loaf and place on the prepared baking sheet. Cut a "x" into the top of the loaf and dust with flour. Bake 60-70 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
